Happiness is working after midnight, and still being able to smile! Someone asked me yesterday, do I ever take a day off from work. I had to think about it and to be honest, I do work every day. If it's not making, it's marketing, preparing art submissions, or replying to customers and providing quotes for items. Its difficult to really turn off, but I must try to be more mindful of it. When I worked in my previous job, in construction programme management, I was able to walk away from the job, and turn off from all work related tasks. As an artist, however, I rarely have those moments. Not that this is a bad thing in my eyes, as work is now completely different and more enjoyable, but to just have a day of no work interruptions would be great.
I must try it!
